International Summer School on Low-Carbon Technologies and Intelligent Energy Systems

The International Research Center for Carbon Neutralization (IRCCN) of Beihang University will host the International Summer School on Low-Carbon Technologies and Intelligent Energy Systems from July 12 to 26, 2026, at the Hangzhou international campus of Beihang University. The program is co-organized by IRCCN and School of Instrumentation and Optoelectronic Engineering of Beihang University. It aims to provide a cutting-edge platform for young scholars worldwide to systematically study clean energy, intelligent monitoring, and sustainable solutions, while fostering interdisciplinary competencies to address energy and environmental challenges.

The Summer School is open to current international undergraduate and graduate students worldwide. The curriculum is led by multiple Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering, renowned Chinese scholars, and distinguished professors and young academic staff from Beihang University, bringing together leading experts in low-carbon technologies and intelligent energy systems. The courses focus on seven core topics: combustion diagnostics and clean combustion, energy measurement and carbon metrology, advanced sensing technologies, hydrogen and electrochemical energy, multiphase flow and process tomography, aircraft emissions and environment monitoring, and new energy materials. The content spans multiple disciplines including energy and power engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, instrumentation science and technology, and artificial intelligence.

Beyond keynote lectures and specialized courses, the program designs team-based projects, interactive discussions, and laboratory visits. Participants will have access to world-class research platforms such as carbon metrology platforms, photovoltaic and energy storage systems, new energy testing systems, aviation emission measurement devices, and micro/nano multiphase flow characterization equipment. Additionally, the program offers ice-breaking activities, campus tours, cultural film screenings, city excursions, and corporate visits to help participants experience the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Hangzhou city, and cutting-edge technologies in industry.

Through this summer school, participants will systematically acquire core knowledge of low-carbon technologies and intelligent energy systems, gain insights into the latest developments in clean energy and carbon neutrality, expand their international academic networks by connecting with outstanding peers and experts in the field.

北京航空航天大学国际创新研究院碳中和国际研究中心将于2026年7月12日至26日在北航杭州国际校园举办“低碳技术与智慧能源系统”国际暑期学校。本项目由北航国新院碳中和国际研究中心和北航仪器科学与光电工程学院合办,旨在为全球青年学子提供系统学习清洁能源、智能监测与可持续解决方案的前沿平台,培养应对能源与环境挑战的跨学科能力。

暑期学校面向全球在读本科及以上学历的国际学生,课程由多位英国皇家工程院院士、中国知名学者及北航杰出教授共同领衔,汇聚低碳技术与智慧能源系统领域具有国际影响力的权威专家。课程内容聚焦七大前沿核心方向:清洁燃烧与燃烧诊断、能源测量与碳计量、先进传感技术、氢能与电化学能源、多相流与过程层析成像、航空排放与环境监测、新能源材料,覆盖能源动力、材料科学、化工、仪器科学与技术、人工智能等多个学科。

除主题报告和专题课程外,项目还安排了团队实践、互动讨论及实验室参观。学员将走进碳计量平台、光伏与储能系统、新能源测试系统、航空排放测量装置、微纳多相流表征设备等先进科研平台。此外,项目设计了破冰游戏、校园参观、文化观影、城市游览及企业参访等丰富活动,帮助学员感受杭州自然人文与科技产业前沿。

通过本次暑期学校,学员将系统掌握低碳技术与智慧能源系统的核心知识,了解清洁能源与碳中和领域的最新科技动态,拓展国际学术网络,结识来自全球的优秀学伴与领域专家。
