This platform is the most advanced, comprehensive, and large-bore carbon metrology facility in the world. It is capable of measuring and calibrating the flow rate of CO₂ in multiple phases, including gas, liquid, gas-liquid two-phase, and supercritical fluid. Its measurements are traceable to reference standards from a precision weighing system and master flowmeters. The pipeline network incorporates horizontal, vertical, and inclined test sections with internal diameters of 25 mm, 50 mm, and 80 mm, also allowing for the injection of impurity gases to the test sections. The test sections are equipped with transparent observation windows for high-speed imaging and the installation of other diagnostic instruments. The platform has already provided vital CO₂ flow data for CCUS projects led by major industry players such as CNPC and CNOOC.
